It's lovely to work in a studio that invites so many different people/crews in to visit, and Blue Peter is one of my favourites. Recently I was lucky enough to meet presenter Lindsey Russell and help launch a brand new competition. Watch the clip here:
Today I was very excited to chat with Hannah Camacho, host of BasicBrainHeart podcast. I had a listen to a couple of her shows thought they were excellent - so I was very flattered when she asked if I would be interviewed. After a slow start - where I try to remember every detail of my youth (which mainly seems to consist of writing letters) I remembered some of the important lessons I picked up about getting into the industry. There is a whole series to enjoy from creatives from a wide range of backgrounds - Hope you enjoy it!
P.S I'd recommend hearing Jorge's conversation - it's packed full of wisdom!

Shaun the Sheep Series 5
I am thoroughly chuffed to have been involved in 10 brand new episodes of Shaun the Sheep for the BBC and Aardman. This marks my first experience as a story artist and director for Aardman Animations, AND my first TV series as a director for the BBC.
Monday 5th September, daily from 6pm on CBBC - please tune in and let me know what you think!!
In March this year I'll be attending Watersprite - a student film festival held in Cambridge. I've been invited to talk about my career and the creative scope of Animation in filmmaking. Do come along!

If you are near Manchester be sure to check out the first ever Manchester Animation festival set up by my friends Deb Singleton and Steve Henderson. I'll be there to introduce the free screening of Shaun the Sheep the Movie!
Today I'm off to London to attend the Final Mix on Shaun the Sheep Series 5. I'll be working with an old friend of mine, the very talented Adrian Rhodes at Goldcrest Post (who mixed the sound on my short film The Weatherman).
I am very lucky to be attending Animex Asia this year - talking about my work on the Shaun the Sheep movie. I hope to share some insights and tips with students at KDU university in Kuala Lumpur.
Proudly taking part in this year's festival of animation. http://www.annecy.org/programme/index:rdv-200000301731
Animator and Director
I started out as a runner at the age of 18. With practise, persistance and a lot of luck I've established a career as an lead animator and director. I've had the fortune to work with stopmotion studio greats Aardman and Laika on: Wallace & Gromit, The Pirates, Creature Comforts, Shaun the Sheep and Paranorman. On the side, I've written and directed three award winning short films and continue to develop new projects for TV and internet. I'm currently working as Animation Director on the upcoming Nick Park feature Early Man.
